Misconceptions, Collaboration, and Behaviorism (Yes, we invited a behaviorist)

The Chicago Feeding Group is excited to welcome Marissa Bennett, a board certified behavior analyst, to open discussion around the sometimes controversial role BCBAs play in feeding therapy. This talk will help you understand the benefits of analyzing family behavior and how specific behaviors might be interpreted at family mealtimes. Three case studies will be shared to give practical examples of how this information may be applied in day-to-day treatment in order to continue to support the ongoing relationship between parent and child. We will discuss the key role collaboration will play and inclusion of all members of the team, especially parents. Marissa will also be sharing her family’s personal feeding therapy journey.
