SUMMARY:Food Allergy Alphabet Soup: FPIES & EoE
DESCRIPTION:This presentation will focus on the presentation, identification, evaluation and management of pediatric patients with two types of non-IgE mediated food allergies: Food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome and Eosinophilic esophagitis. Join us to learn more about these conditions and how to better support families of children who may have a diagnosis of FPIES or EoE. \n \nPlease note this event is taking place at 6:30 pm Central Standard Time, and will be held virtually via Zoom. To find out what time this is in your country, look here. Registration will close at 5:00 pm Central Standard Time on 12/7/2021. The meeting link will be sent to registrants via email that evening after registration closes. Please check your spam folder as our emails occasionally end up there.\n \nThis course is being submitted for credit with the Illinois Early Intervention Program. Please check with your local professional organization to determine additional professional education credit. Those who have paid for a professional ticket and are in attendance for the duration of the full event will receive a certificate of attendance for credit. He was the founding Chief of the Allergy and Immunology Section at Children’s Hospital Colorado from 2014-2109. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Co-Director of the Gastrointestinal Eosinophilic Diseases Program, a multidisciplinary program at Children’s Hospital Colorado designed for the optimal evaluation and treatment of children with gastrointestinal eosinophilic disorders. Dr. Atkins is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI). His major areas of interest include adverse reactions to foods and eosinophilic diseases of the gut.\n
